Diesel surcharge current month

Surcharge for shipping up to 5 pallets, also for free deliveries.

The surcharge is calculated from the increased average diesel price (source: ADAC). From diesel average price 1.601/l surcharge of 0.3% per cent increase to current pallet shipping costs national 52€/Pal. or international 88€/Pal.

Due to the current situation regarding increased fuel prices and surcharges by the transport companies, we are forced to react to the diesel price increase with separate means and to pass on part of the extraordinary cost increase to you as a customer. We charge a diesel surcharge, which is calculated on the basis of the average diesel price from the previous month. Above all, we want to do this transparently and adjusted to the actual price development. The surcharge is calculated in every shipping case up to 5 pallets, even for free deliveries. We are choosing this way with help of a temporary surcharge, because it will be adjusted  monthly depending on price fluctuations based on ADAC data and because it is transparent  and can be easily retraced. Change to weekly diesel float adjustment from 1 April 2026 in response to the geopolitical situation: Diesel price trends are currently heavily influenced by geopolitical factors, leading to short-term fluctuations in the European transport market. Our freight forwarding partners have informed us that they have adjusted their existing diesel floater calculation to a weekly average diesel price assessment. The aim of this measure is to reflect the highly volatile market prices as fairly, transparently and in line with market conditions as possible.

We will recalculate the diesel floater every Friday and apply the adjusted value from Monday of the following week. It is not yet possible to predict when the current exceptional situation will end. This measure is intended solely to pass on the additional costs actually incurred. The calculation of the diesel floater remains unchanged – we will not be charging any additional margin. We will, of course, revert the current adjustment to the original basis as soon as the circumstances allow.
